Three things people ask about most: The hold. At booking we authorise the rental total plus the deposit on your card. Nothing is charged at that moment. When the rental completes, the rental amount is captured; the deposit part of the hold is released. The deposit. It is there so an owner is not out of pocket if something comes back broken or not at all. If there is a claim, the owner files it from their side with photos, you get to respond, and it is settled from the hold — never more than the deposit. Sales tax.
