When you pay, the dates are yours — no waiting for an owner to approve. Owners who want to approve each booking can switch that on per listing. - Your card is only held. The rental amount is captured when the rental completes; the deposit is a hold on your card that is released when the item comes back. - Handoffs use a code. At pickup the owner confirms the rental with a short code from the renter's booking page. That code is what starts the rental. - Keep private details out of posts. Addresses, phone numbers, and pickup spots belong in the messages on a booking, not on a public board. Ask anything below.
